Crosby, Stills & Nash in 1994, the year they returned to Woodstock for the festival’s 25th anniversary. Twenty-five years after their famous 1969 appearance, they performed a set filled with songs from across their career and closed with “Woodstock.”

David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash photographed in 1994, the year they returned to Woodstock for the festival’s 25th-anniversary celebration. Their appearance carried unusual historical weight because Crosby, Stills & Nash had played the original Woodstock in 1969 at the very beginning of their career, with Neil Young joining them for part of that legendary set.

At Woodstock ’94 in Saugerties, New York, the trio performed on August 13 and revisited songs spanning their history, including “Helplessly Hoping,” “Marrakesh Express,” “Long Time Gone,” “Wooden Ships,” “Carry On,” and a closing performance of “Woodstock.” The reunion connected one of the bands most closely associated with the original festival to a new generation of performers and fans 25 years later.
